I purchased this as an upgrade for the stock alternator on my 1974 Ford Maverick with the 4.1/250 inline six. Alternator fits perfectly and works like a charm! Definitely enough amperage to power everything, including an aftermarket stereo. Now when I’m at a stop light with the headlights on, my turn signal still operates at the normal speed. Looks great under the hood too!

Also, I didn’t need to upgrade my voltage regulator. The stock unit works just fine with the alternator, and all the wires hooked up perfectly. At first, I wanted to go with a 1 wire alternator, but a local store had the OEM wire version in stock, so I couldn’t resist buying it.
